Make up products
started off by moisturising my models skin well, I only need to do this as prep as my model had just got out of the shower.
I did the eye make up first; using my make up revolution colour shadow palette using a mixture of small and medium round eye brushes, I did a base layer of white full coverage cream foundation from make up forever, this really helps the bright colours to pop. Once I had applied the shadows I dabbed over Vaseline to give the eyes a lovely sheen. I cleaned up the droppage and moved onto the base;

I used a white full coverage cream foundation from make up forever and applied to the face using a bronzer brush, I love this brush for really buffing in a base, it creates a beautiful streak free finish.  I took the white down the neck and onto the shoulders. I then used a sponge to apply Kryolan peach iridescent aqua colour underneath the white blending in to one another so the transition didn't look too stiff, next I went in with Kryolan purple aqua colour beneath the peach doing the same. I have been contemplating what I want to do on the body, I was thinking doing gradual colours matching my head piece and eye make up colours, but after doing it today, I feel as if it's too much colour, and the look becomes distracted and loses it's focus. So I think ill be going back to the drawing board with that one.

I then used a powder brush to apply the peach highlight all over the face and body.

I created the ombre lip using my make up forever colour flash palette, shades hot pink, peach and white, bring the lightest colours into the centre of the lip, I want my design to have a focus and the onlookers eye to be drawn to the centre, with my mask and the ombre lip I think this really achieves that!

I will be using spirit gum and concealer on the brows to give a bleached effect, I didn't have my spirit gum with me today so I had to leave out the brows, I just put a little concealer through them to lighten them up!

Below are photos of the look I created today;

Problem solving:

The eyes were a real issue today; when I placed Vaseline over the shadows it made them bleed into one another and it really creased up! Which meant I had to go back in with shadows, but the Vaseline made them claggy and gave them the inability to be able to blend! This means in the assessment that I'd either have to apply the Vaseline at the last minute or risk my design being ruined! Looking back at the photos I've actually decided to ditch the Vaseline all together I feel by using a highlighter all the face and body the eyes don't need to be highlighted as well!

The Kryolan white iridescent aqua colour didnt sit well on my models face; despote moisturising it went all seperated as if she had really dry skin which she didn't so I think I'm going to use a white full coverage foundation instead!

Overall I'm happy with how this practice went! I'm really happy with how my design idea went in the flesh, there are just a couple of minor tweaks that I have to make to ensure it's completely perfect!
