make-up practice 2...

Make-up Practice...

So I decided to do another practice, this time implementing the changes I wanted to make after the previous run through;

Instead of using Kryolan white iridescent aqua colour on the face and body, I used Make up Forever white full coverage cream foundation from my flash palette. I found it so much better on the skin, the application was far easier and far less product was needed. It made my model look washed out, but for my model in the assessment it will look great as she has bleach blonde hair! Using loose Vanilla pigment over the white foundation looked amazing much better in person, I will definitely being using this over the compact highlighter.

To make her eyebrows bleach I used a spool dipped in spirit gum then brushed through the brows, I let them dry then, applied D32 on the brow using a small angle brush,I applied D32 as my model had really dark brows, and the D32 brings the colour to neutral, so the light concealer shade I used next wouldn't appear grey.

Spirit gum I used to set brows

My La Maquillage concealer palette I used to 'bleach' the brows
Using latex to stick my mask to the face

Sticking my mask using spirit gum

I tried out different products that could stick my mask down; the first product I tried was spirit gum, and found that it pulled far too much on the skin, as it wasn't strong enough! As you can see in the image above!

So I then tried liquid latex, using my finger I placed latex on both the part of the mask I wanted to stick and on the section of the face I wanted to stick it to, I let the product become tacky, then stuck it down holding it firmly in place. As you can see from my other photo it worked far better than the spirit gum, so this is the product I will be using.
