I have chosen to research LOVE magazine as I really like the diversity of it, and how the logo always changes, depending on the mood and theme of the particular issue.

| 1. Issue 8, Laura Carmichael (Lady Edith in Downton Abbey) features on the cover, the editorial was titled; 'Dance With A Stranger' and dedicated to the famous English costume drama Downton Abbey. It also featured other cast members 2.(FASHION SLOP, 2012) I love the way it's taken elements from period costumes featured in the TV series, and made them into high fashion, avant garde shots. |
Also how it doesn't stick to the normal 'stick thin' 'aesthetically beautiful' people, they go against the so called rules of fashion, and I just LOVE it....do you like what I did there?!
I also love how they have more than one front cover following the same theme, such as issue 3 which featured a number of different supermodels, these included Naomi Campbell, Jeneil Williams,and Lara Stone, they appeared wearing nothing, the only thing covering their modesty was tape that had been added after the shot using an editing program.
For example it's first ever copy featured Beth Ditto lead singer from the band The Gossip, naked, on the front cover, something the likes of Vogue would never do.

It was founded in 2009 by stylist and fashion journalist fashion journalist Katie Grand, who remains Editor-in-chief to this day 5.(Wikipedia, 2015).

The magazine itself is produced bi annually.
I love the front covers they are so varied, sometimes they are really real, raw and stripped back, then other times they can be quite theatrical and artistic, and sometimes they are shocking, provocative, causing controversy. Which is why it stands out so much for me, the covers always draw me in.

7. Cover photo featuring Kate Moss and transgender model Lea T in a passionate embrace, in their androgyny chic issue, made headlines; I think you can see why for yourself. The photo was "shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott" 8.(Mail Online, 2011), and sure enough it got alot of attention. |
I also like their articles, I feel that this magazine is aimed at ages 18-30; some of the celebrities featured on their covers such as Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus I feel attract the younger audience.
Also all their backstage coverage of fashion shows/shoots appeal to both the younger reader all the way to the readers aged 30, as not only is is pretty cool to see backstage photos, and read about how the shoot has been thought of, conducted and shot, they also supply great reference source for students and people working in the creative industry, along with also providing great inspiration, as they're covers can often be extremely creative, and 'out there'.

| 9. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley looks like Jessica Rabbit in this photo. The makeup is utterly flawless. The orange hair looks amazing on her, paired with the full glossy deep red lips, the winged liner, just everything makes it ones of my all time favourite covers not just from LOVE but across the board! |

| 10. The black and white shot was taken by Sølve Sundsbø for the magazine's 'Clean' issue 11.(Mail Online, 2013), with Cara Delevingne as the cover girl. I'ts such a timeless, classic style, black and white photography will never become a 'last year' style. The make up is simple but well executed and by the hair being up of the face it shows it off even more. |

| 12. The sixth issue sees Zimbabwean-born model Nyasha Matonhodze appear styled with a black crow head wear and black tears for their 'Strangely Romantic Super Natural' theme 13.(Mdudu, 2015). |

| 14. The 13-year-old actress, Elle Fanning posed for photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
She was one of three models to grace the cover of Love‘s Issue 6, in 2011, 15.(Just Jared, 2015). I love the styling here, it has an innocence to it, which is probably due to her age. It almost has a Victorian feel to it, with the vintage lace and ribbon in the hair.The make up is minimal and clean sticking to the theme.

| 16. Model Saskia De Brauw features on this cover. I love the abstract messy approach to the make-up paired with the slick neat hair it creates a really good contrast, I also feel the way the piecer of material looks as if the model is holding it around her own shoulders, adds vulnerability to the image; as if she has been caught in a big paint fight and is recovering. |

| 17. Gisele Bunchden features on this cover. I adore this cover, the make-up is so well executed, in particular the contouring that at first glance you don't notice that the brows have been bleached, and it works so well! The large false lashes, compensate for the lack of brows too. The hair is fabulous its so voluminous and the golden highlight running through the front ties the whole, gold and tan look together perfectly. |

| 18. Kendall Jenner features on this cover. What I love about this cover is how raw and stripped back it is. For me it’s quite animalistic; the fur hood/hat, being the only thing that Kendall has on, and her eyes the only thing that have been made up, screams wolf to me, the way her hair is a little damp, and some strands are stuck to her face, gives the impression that she's in or been in the elements, joint with the way her eyes pierce through the fur, just says wolf to me and I think it’s done very well. |

20. Kim Kardashian features on the next cover of LOVE magazine. I think what they have done is really clever as it will draw a lot of attention to the magazine as it's a version of Kim K that we have never seen, stripped back, natural wet look hair, bleached brows, it's very minimal, especially for the Queen of the contour! So I'm looking forward to buying it! |
