i-D magazine

So for our next project we have to produce a magazine cover reflecting the SS15 trends.

As part of the project we have to research 5 major high end fashion magazines so first up is i-D magazine;

i-D magazine launched in 1980 by the current editor in chief Terry Jones. I love the way every cover replicates its logo i-D, which when rotated to the right symbolises a winking face. It is their brand and has become extremely iconic with some of the most recognized faces in the world having featured on their front cover, such as; Kate Moss, Cara Delevigne, & Naomi Campbell. 

It is British and is dedicated to fashion, music, art & youth culture. I would say their reader is aimed at the ages of 18 to 30.

9. First ever issue

It has come a long way since it's first issue; which was stapled together! But the one thing it has done which is why I believe is has stuck around, is that it's truthful, in the sense that they follow trends from the street, taking pictures of normal, everyday people. I feel that their articles are more honest than jazzed up like other magazines.
